The concept of Conservation of Energy basically replaced the concept of Consrevation of Mass. Mass and energy can be converted from one form to another, but even if there is no measurable ... MEASURABLE ... mass, there is still measurable energy. It is more consistent.

What global process exemplifies the law of conservation of energy? They all do. Solar energy is changed by photosynthesis to chemical energy. Through the water cycle is converted to potential, kinetic and electrical energy (both by lightning and hydro dams).
