It is bad to put all your eggs in one basket, right. Some energy sources will eventually run out or become harmful to people, animals or our environment and we will have to stop using them. There are a lot of other sources, some that are too easy not to be using and it is worth our future to investigate them.

for any industry . we need energy and its source. we have been using hydrocarbons like petrolium and coal. their quantity available in the earth is finiteand may finish one dayor become very expensive. so we are trying to find alternative sources of enery like nuclear energy, energy from windsor renewable sources of enerhy from plants, alcohol frm sugarcane etc.

It is not alternative energy that we seek, it is renewable energy.
Fossil fuels are being depleted and while there may be reserves enough to last for a while, the end is in sight and the time to switch over is now.
We have the technology and the intelligence and the will to do this. We should do this. We must do this.

We are looking into alternative energy sources because the main resource we are using now for energy is oil, which we are quickly depleting (running out of) and therefore we need to look for other sources so that we dont run out of oil completely...

another reason is global warming, we are looking for an earth-friendly alternative to petroleum products because of how harsh on the environment these are to manufacture and burn.

Currently most of the energy that we use has a side effect of pouring CO2 into our atmosphere which is probably contributing to global warming. We would like to find energy that doesn't do this.

We can use nuclear energy but that also has waste harmful to humans that is tricky to deal with.

It would be nice to get away from them by using solar or something similar.

To find energy sources that are more suitable for our needs in the future.
