Fossil fuels are being depleted and while there may be reserves enough to last for a while, the end is in sight and the time to switch over is now. We have the technology and the intelligence and the will to do this. We should do this. We must do this. It is not alternative energy that we seek, it is renewable energy.

We would like to find energy that doesn't do this. We can use nuclear energy but that also has waste harmful to humans that is tricky to deal with. It would be nice to get away from them by using solar or something similar.
