Either a Civil or Electrical engineering degree would be very beneficial. My husband is a Civil Engineer and works with companies building wind farms and connecting them to the power grid.

A lot of the successful people in this field are mavericks. More like the old Thomas Edison types than the graduate degree guys. So don’t worry about the education. Just start applying and only apply when the supervisor or owner is on-site. They need your skills..
