Energy conservation is always a good thing, however, that isn’t the answer to our energy challenges. Available energy has gone through many changes since prerecorded history. Each change of energy source provides increasing amounts of energy to a greater number of people at less cost. That is the real answer. New sources of energy to more people at less cost.

One approach that once was laughed at, seems now to have a real possibility of coming true. That is cold fusion. If this comes to pass the world will change. It has no pollution problems and is such that if you bought a car running on it, that fuel would be for the life of the car.

Each home could have their own energy source for heat, and electricity.

Well yes, but, we won't have to push very hard...not with these big ole SUVs;we'll just pull our way to energy independence.

I think it would make a huge difference, but I don't believe the majority of people would participate. Look at the stupid things people do like ingest poison through alcohol and cigarettes for example. And people just aren't proactive either. Look at Christmas, so many people wait until the last moment to buy gifts.

I think you idea is terrific, I just believe it would fall on deaf ears.

How about the US drill for oil in the fields oil companies discovered last week, the largest in the world.
All Govt's should search for alternative energy solutions.

We should, but it won't happen anytime soon. The EPA-OBD II Law Mandates that all Gasoline Powered Vehicles in the USA from 1996 to the Present must run at 14.7 Parts of Air to1 Part of Fuel. Any Change, even if Fuel Economy is Improved, and Emissions are Lowered is not Permitted. Really ! Under this Insane Law, it is entirely Possible to Fail a Vehicle Inspection for not Consuming enough Fuel, and Emitting enough Pollution ! 1996, Let's see..... What Administration was in Power when this Brilliant Bit of Legislation was Enacted ? I Guess that would be An Inconvenient Truth ? I Tried to ask Why, at No Reply ! Why,Al,Why? My Point is this. See My Avatar ? That's a Device I've Constructed that Safely Converts Regular Pump Gasoline into Propane.100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. The Flame that You See in the Photo is Vaporized Gasoline Ignited to prove it actually Works. Look at the Color Spectrum of a Butane Bic Lighter, and Compare it to the Photo. The Point is this, on a Molecular Level, all Petroleum is the same. Only the Dispersal is Altered. The Experts all Tell Me I'm Wrong.Perfected, the Vapor Chamber has the Potential to Enable even the Largest SUV to get 50 + MPG , Emit 10 X Less Pollution, and actually have more Engine Power ! And it's Illegal to even Attempt to Try It on any Vehicle from ' 96 to the Present ! I'm not the First to figure this out. Far from it ! Go to and find out what happened to [the late] Tom Ogle. He was Offered $25 Million to keep His Fuel Vaporizer Off the Market. He Refused. He's Dead ! Also, Check Out for even More Info. Hybirds, Bio-Diesel, and Ethanol together won't ever amount to a 30 % Reduction of Energy Use. The Hypocrisy of the OBD II Law needs to be Exposed. Only the Big Oil Companies, and Vehicle Manufacturers benefit from this Insane Law. That's the Inconvenient Truth which needs to come Out ! But, it'll never happen !

It's supposed to have been a national push for many years but a lot of people either don't care or are too selfish to sacrifice anything. If everyone reduced their fuel use by 10% annually that would make a HUGE difference. I own a hybrid car which I know isn't the complete answer to the problem but just think if everybody took that step? It's amazing how educated we claim to be and keep making the same stupid mistakes.

i think the answer to america's energy problem is finding alternative energy sources. !!! america does that and issue resolved !!. there sould be a ethanol pump at every gas station

1 - We have had one for more than 30 years now.

2 - Yes - a difference of 30%.
